About biodiversity
Biodiversity is defined as the variablity among living organisms from all sources, including terrestrial,marine and other aquatic ecosystems and the ecological complexes of which they are part. Biodiversity includes diversity within and between species and the diversity of ecosystems.
Concepts relating to biodiversity are interdependence,diversity, the natural environment, resource management and the values held, cultural overlays and choices made by individuals and communities.
Ways Tasmanian schools are working to encourage biodiversity
Rosetta High School removed willows from their creek and planted more than 600 native trees, shrubs and grasses.
